FAQs

Everything you need to know about creating, printing, storing, and using your visual boards with Visuals.

Is it really free?
Yes, and there is nothing to sign up for. No account, no trial, no card, no school purchase order. Open it and make a board.
Where are my boards kept?
In your own browser, on the device you made them on. They are never uploaded, so we cannot read them and cannot lose them for you. The trade is that a board does not follow you to another device on its own: use Export on one and Import on the other. There is more detail on the privacy page.
What do you send to the AI?
The words you type, and nothing else. Your request goes to Google's Gemini API so it can write the cells. Your boards, your email and anything you have saved stay on your device.
A symbol is wrong. Can I change it?
Yes. Select any cell and choose a different picture, or just say what you want changed and it happens on the board. Symbol libraries have gaps, and a cell with no picture is shown as empty rather than filled with something close.
Can I print them?
That is what they are for. One page, A4 or US Letter, with cells sized to survive a photocopier and a laminator. Colour coding can be turned off for a mono printer.
Is this a clinical tool?
No. Every board it makes is a draft for a professional to review before it reaches a child. It proposes; you approve.
